Week Nine: Education

          

      Special education is specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of children with disabilities. This is done at no cost to parents. It arises about the sixteenth century, when the deaf could access different classes. Over time, special education was institutionalized and was aimed at all kinds of different capacities. Today provides technical and human resources that offset the declines experienced by students. In this way, students can complete the learning process in accordance with their capacities. Special education can include special instruction in the classroom, at home, in hospitals or institutions, or in other environments.

      The goal of Special Education was and is to increase the enrollment of children with disabilities in regular schools. Children and young people who require normalizing environments to achieve their basic needs deaprendizaje. And socialization as the foundation in the teaching - learning process. More than 5 million children between 6 and 21 years receive special education and related services each year in the United States services. Each of these children receive specially designed instruction: to meet their unique needs (that result from having a disability); and to help the child learn the information and skills that other children are learning.
